In the light of yesterday’s escalation of the steps that we are all being asked to take to slow down the spread of Coronavirus that includes no unnecessary travel, I’ve taken the unilateral decision to cancel the ‘Not the Edale Skyline’ race that I proposed only yesterday. I also feel that if one of us did what I did in last year’s Skyline, which was to fall over and end up getting stitched up at the Hallamshire Minor Injuries Unit, or worse in a DPFR race, then the club would be open to criticism. It is worth noting that all FRA races have also been cancelled or postponed for the time being.
