Sir Ranulph Fiennes was fined £1000 and received 4 penalty points at Stockport Magistrates Court for falling asleep when driving home from the Derwent Watershed in March. The head on collision resulted in the driver of the other vehicle spending a month in intensive care with serious chest injuries.
