It turned out to be a largely tough weekend for the Penistone runners on the Paddy Buckley trail.  In improving conditions Mark Pearce was evidently off colour and dropped out part way through the second leg coming direct off Hebog.  Simon Rippon became increasingly hampered by a knee problem & dropped out at Llanberis in the early hours after fifteen hours.  Brent was steady throughout but was fractionally off a 24hour pace and finished in 25hours & 4minutes – a fine effort & achievement.

Away from the PB the highlight for the support team was the sight of a brown vest plus leopard skin shorts astride two wheels speeding past the Capil Curig café to cheers and arms aloft from Andy Moore as he competed in the Snowdon triathlon.

Well done to the Penistone contenders for doing the Paddy Buckley justice over the last six months and putting together a fine attempt for all the support team.
