Demonstrating that even she is human (sometimes), Nicky Spinks has somehow contrived to fix this coming Monday’s Summer Series race (the ever challenging Broomhead Bash) for the same day as the Trunce.
Whilst Nicky and (we anticipate) most other real stalwarts will be running at Broomhead this Monday as advertised, anyone wanting to run the Trunce instead is invited to run the Broomhead Race on Tuesday night instead, in the ever-competitively-stimulating company of Ian Winterburn.
Nicky will withhold results from Monday until Tuesday night – to ensure no wily tactics on the part of Messrs Holmes (senior) and Winterburn – then publish them all together.
The possibilities seem endless.
