Past races

Rainow 5 – Tracks, footpaths, fields and not enough walking. Fine views over Macclesfield across the Cheshire plain and I can recommend the Robin Hood Inn where they sell nice stuff. Results.

Tuesday 9^th May – Burbage Skyline is sadly cancelled.

Wednesday 10^th May – Shining Tor, Goyt Valley over Buxton way.

Saturday 13^th May – Fairfield Horseshoe, the second of the six English Championship races, with a whopping 57 brown vests on the entry list.

Monday 15^th May – Summer Series – Brogg in Boots, from just beyond Strines. The Summer Series races are invariably fine little outings and are recommended. Details on Nicky’s website here.

Wednesday 17^th May – Club AGM, Norfolk Arms.

Wednesday 17^th May – Gun Run, Swythamley. A Macc Harriers race.

Thursday 18^th May – Parks Life, Belper.

Friday 19^th May – Hayfield May Queen, the first of three Hayfield races held on consecutive days.

Saturday 20^th May – Old County Tops, with three and a half Dark Peak teams entered so far.

Saturday 20^th May – Mount Famine, Hayfield.

Sunday 21^st May – Lantern Pike Dash, Hayfield which I’m guessing is the shortest fell race in the calendar.

Sunday 21^st May – Youlgrave Pommie Panter. A new race, pre-entry only here.

Sunday 21^st May – Shutlingsloe
