Lateish note: please make sure you use the UPPER car park, so as not to frighten away other pub users. Also the landlord will be doing chip butties, first-come, first-served (that rules me out then, JD).

Route now published here or via the Warts blog (under members menu).

To make things simple for us all it is now a 6:45 start for us all. Therefore on Wednesday 27th October it is now a straight race from the Strines pub – first past the post wins. The course will take you to the far side of Abbey Brook with a number un-manned check points to be announced the week before. Teams should have a minimum of 2 people and obviously need to be able to navigate themselves around, or escape from, this night orienteering course & are expected to carry standard FRA kit and some form of emergency safety bag sufficient for individuals & the team.

As ever there is no support out there and so teams need to be responsible for themselves & to be able to cope with whatever happens – emergency or otherwise. The run may take "average" runners approaching 2 hours. Teams need to get a good mix of navigational skills & experience to be able to cope with a toughish course. Individuals with less experience & confidence in their navigation skills are we invited to join other teams so that they can join the fun!?. Teams & individuals should register with myself by either talking to me or e mail or John Dalton. Individuals can join any team of their choice or be allocated to a team.

Teams may start earlier than 6.45 if they expect to be out a long time, but please let me know if you are going to do that, we would like to know who is out there!
