Ladies – 1st : Seniors – 2nd : Vets – 1st :V50’s – 3rd? (all to be confirmed…). Full reports, as for the IH Relay, will come from Team Captains.
Leg 1 got round in good conditions, but then the clag descended lower and lower, with minimal visibility. Good navigation on the last three legs was vital. Can’t help with the Ladies – but another superb result. In the Seniors, Mercia, Pudsey and Bingley missed a CP on Leg 4, and will probably be dq’d, leaving Borrowdale winners, with us 2nd. For the Vets, Leg3 navigation might well have got everything exact to record a crucial Leg. We V50’s will be happy if we’re in 3rd, a very difficult navigational leg in the mist.
An excellent venue, well organised, demanding courses, so credit to CFR for staging the event – and for having a V50 category.
