Congratulations to Nicky Spinks who spent the weekend at the seaside and finished 1st woman and 8th overall in the 100 mile Arc of Attrition, a trail race that follows the South West Coastal path on the Cornish coast. I suspect that there may have been a bit of a breeze.

In other news, Lova Chechik was in Glossop recently and decided
to make a bee line for The Sportsman. Here’s his Strava track…

I understand that the kink north of Ladybower was to avoid climbing a couple of walls when the farmer was in his field.

The Juniors set up continues to go from strength the strength. The numbers rise inexorably. This gives us the happy problem that we are always looking for more assistants and leaders for the odd Sunday morning session. So please give some thought to whether you’d like to be involved with giving the gift of fell running & mountain skills to the next generation. It needn’t be a leap into the unknown, our current crop of leaders and coaches have a good understanding of the ins and outs of group leadership, skills development and coaching; they’d be more than happy to share these. For some of our younger members, this would be a great opportunity to do something a bit different and build some great skills of your own. Please talk to Lewis, or any of the other regular leaders, Kris, Jess, Mark W, Michael, Helen & Adam, if you’d like to find out what might be involved.
