The Junior FRA Championships concluded at Ilam last week with DPFR 7th overall. Well done to all the competitors and the many many others whose good works enable a championship like this to take place. The outstanding result of the four race series was by Izzy-Mai Wilson who was 2nd= U15G and wins a silver medal. Good work!
Congratulations to Nicky Spinks who this week trotted round the Tor des Géants in 101.16 hours. The distance and climb involved is about 360 km and 24,500 metres Nicky was the third woman to finish and first F50. Buon sforzo.
… and also to John Boyle who has “just nailed the Joss Naylor in 11h 55 in very suboptimal conditions- clag, drizzle”.

Lake District Mountain Trial – Buttermere this year. In the Classic, Jonny Crickmore finished 3rd with John Hunt 2nd M50. Meanwhile, Martha Hart and Laura Robertson took 1st and 2nd places over the Medium course.
Nine Edges – Helen Elmore was the first woman to finish despite managing to crack a bone in the process. One of hers, as far as I know. Results.
