To weekend of 4th /5th September

Congratulations to Hal Roberts who took 23:43 a couple of weeks ago to complete his BG.

I believe that his was the 8^th BG completion of the year by a DPFR member to add to 3 Paddy rounds, a Ramsay and a fast Rigby. Good work! Hopefully, prospective BG contenders for 2022 will have the opportunity to take advantage of the club’s legendary BG machine in June. I’m guessing that the starting gun will go off at 18:45 on either Friday 17^th or Friday 24^th June.

Saturday 4^th September – Longshaw Sheepdog Trials. For a Newbie, and I’ve met several on recent club runs, this would be a good choice as a first fell race.

Sunday 5^th September – Bleaklow Blitz. Mostly Pennine Way up and down Torside. Ditto the comment above.

Saturday 11^th September – Groovy Kinder Love. 50 at 50 counter.

Saturday 11^th September – Nine Edges

Sunday 12^th September – Ilam and Ilam Juniors. The latter is a championship race.

Sunday 12^th September – Peak Raid. Kinder East.

Black Comb Dash – The penultimate counter in the 2021 English Championship. Alex Mason (4^th MU23) and Jane Crowson (5^th W55) were the first Brown Vests to finish in their respective races. Notable runs also from John Hunt 1st M55, Keith Holmes 3^rd M65, Dave Tait 3^rd M70 and Emily Barnett 4^th WU23. Results.
