Congratulations to Nicky Spinks who took 23 hours 45 minutes to recover the women’s Lakeland 24 hour record that she lost last year, by covering the same 65 summits as the previous record holder but in a quicker time.

Lakeland Classics – As Borrowdale was run over a significantly shortened bad weather course last weekend, it will not be a counter for this year’s Lakeland Classics Trophy. Pete Davies is placed second and Dark Peak third. Next up is Three Shires on 18th September followed by Langdale on 9th October. Both outings come highly recommended.
