Congratulations to Majka Kunica and Laurence Piercy who recently completed the Rigby Round in 28 hours. The Rigby involves traversing the 18 Munros in the Cairngorms that lie north of the Rivers Dee and Feshie. Depending on the route taken, it’s 75 miles with 19,000 feet of ascent and it’s not overendowed with footpaths. Our very own Bob Berzins accomplished the second completion in 1999 and did so in under 24 hours. No mean feat! Further details of the round here… Rigby Round
Congratulations also to Rich Bradbury, Tim Rutter and Mark Whitworth who completed the Dark Peak 15 Trigs in under 15 hours. This popular outing covers 55 miles with 8,500 feet of ascent and would be good preparation for aspirant BG contenders. If anyone fancies a tilt at it, Tom Saville’s men’s record stands at 8:52:25. Further details here… 15 Trigs
The Twittersphere deemed Tim to have convincingly won the best hat competition.
