19 stalwarts turned out for Race 15 of the Sprunce with Pete Davies (36:03) and Rose Paxman (55:45) winning their respective races. Tim Mackey led the handicap for most of the week but was narrowly pipped by John Webber’s Thursday evening effort.
Not for the first time, excuse of the week goes to Ken Jones who reports “… I can’t understand it, I was sure my new technical, light weight racing shorts would make a huge difference. Obviously I must have bought the wrong colour, or had them on back to front”. (Almost certainly the latter.)
I was also impressed by Mark Gamsu’s dedication to the cause… “Sadly, despite shaving my head to increase streamlining, I came in slower this week”.
