Ilkley Moor Paving Slabs. There’s been much fuss of late over these being put down. I had a plod up today, and they are similar in idea to those along the top from Back Tor. Something needed to be done about the erosion control. For trying hard running they are a huge improvement, and if you don’t like running on slabs there are numerous quiet trods all around. As an encouragement to other users besides runners – excellent.

Friday – a screening at Losehill Hall in Castleton (new YHA place) of “Unbreakable: Western States 100”, which was a big hit at ShAFF – night run first for those who want one. link

British Championships 2013 – The Scottish race looks like being Kirk Yetholm , AM, and it looks a belter of a course, if this map is correct. 2nd June.( There seem to be whisperings of “any three from four” races to count, but Carshare may well have heard false whisperings…..)
