Passing Clouds:- results.
Snowdonia Marathon – it comes around every year. I’m a lot worried about John Hunt getting into bad habits – Gun Time- 02:54:21 Position -6th, and 1st V45. Anyone else running? results.
OMM – Results. Far too complicated for me to sift through, but Tom Beasant seems to have won one of the categories. Others?
Bronte Way:- results.
Guisborough 3 Tops – results.
Great Whernside – results. A guest appearance from Trevor Milner, and Fliss saving herself for a flier tomorrow at Bronte Way. Also
a guest appearance up top from Will Boothman’s Mum – minus Will, I
hasten to add. Ian Holmes was down first, followed eventually by Mark
Roberts, and Mike Fanning. Whither is fell-runnings youth?
Cold and frozen slippy higher up, and even for an AS race, full body cover was insisted on – easy for those who take the lot to every race regardless. Sticky labels didn’t all have times on, so no results just yet.
Buttermere Shepherd’s Meet:- “Glorious weather in Buttermere greeted us for this marvellous short race up
the slopes of Whiteside, crazy descent obligatory. Will was out of the
starting gate like a bullet and Tom climbed well to the turn point and made an
understandably cautious descent on his come back from a bad injury. Rhys,
instead of leading the way cheered us all on from the side lines nursing his
head from the night before. A note for you slightly older Dark Peak runners,
the loudest cheer of the day went to 79 year old Jack Esqurit when he crossed the line – and not in
last place!As well as the senior fell race there were junior races, sheep shows,
Cumberland wrestling and the amazing hound dog trails. Put it in your calendar
for next year’s school holidays.”
High Peak Marathon:- is some while off, but Tim Rippon is keen, “I’ve done HPM for last 2 yrs and would like to joing team for 2013 that would be
looking to complete in around 10 hrs. Available for day/night recce and plenty
of training! Please email me if you’re looking for team member.”

FRA Presentation Evening:- “Tickets are moving fast, but, more importantly, the date when we have to finalise everything with the hotel is 3rd November. If you want to come and join the party but haven’t bought a ticket yet, you need to get in touch in the next week or so”

Gavin sends:- “Seeing that it’s local, Mick Stenton, Richard Horsfield and myself are heading over to the FRA do next month. I
understand that there are also some Dark Peak youngsters going. I plan to
combine it with the one-off race onto Kinder that Andy Howie is organising for
the morning (before). The more the merrier….”
