Another ask for help! Daniel is “currently training to run the lakeland 100 next year and have been told
you would be a good club run to join to get out with. I was wondering what I
need to do to be able to get out in the hills with you? I live in Chesterfield
Anyone else in the club from Chesterfield?

DT – please e-mail  if you know much about the event, etc, or if you’re running around Eastern Peak…

Club Championship Entries:- from Lewis – “so far we have 37 entries. To my mind there is a clear winner of the overall. So
he will obviously be starting on his own, shortly after the rest of us have
finished. Female overall also has a notably strong contender. As for the real
business of the day, so far few have shown the mettle to guarantee greatness in
this field – although there was a valiant effort from Kirsty on Wednesday with a
tactical head torch issue which put gave the handicapper the satisfaction of a
slight edge in the results. More blatant attempts to gain favour were also most
welcome in the pub. Andy is still keen for marshals to volunteer, particularly
skilled timekeepers.”

Screes –  Yes, Mike was there, leading the way round in 46.51, with Steve Matthews also along, in 19th place.
Stuart Learmouth Undulator:-  results.
Round Rotherham.
Withins Skyline:-   results.

OMM –    is looming up, 27th/28th October, in the Howgills.
A request here:- “I am a local fell runner but not in the Dark Peak club. I’m urgently looking for someone who may be interested in partnering me in the OMM in a couple of weeks as my running partner is injured. We are currently a team of 2 ladies entered into C class but am equally happy to try and change to D class if that would interest someone. (not currently fit enough to move up a class!)I would be really grateful if it is at all possible to circulate my request as I need to know pretty much straight away….hoping someone is up for it

Chevin Chase:–   is Boxing Day, around Otley Chevin. “Entrants have included Olympic and World Champions alongside Xmas Trees and Santas”. It fills up fast. The course is good, not so sure about the £15.00 entry fee, though.
