It seems that – beyond the inestimable powers of our webmaster – the website thingies are playing up, so apologies just now if Results and etc. are getting held up a bit.
Kielder Blast:– Final Championship Race. Any mistakes, just contact the organiser.
Men’s Results. Pleased to confirm that Jon Batt has been found, presumably “dreaming of cheese – toasted mainly.” (Carshare is reading Treasure Island…).
Ladies Results.
“Who says age and speed are not correlated. Is this not an exact age and time order for our Men’s team at Kielder?”
I’m not that sure about John Hunt’s apology, due to illness and such, as he seems to have recovered well enough to eat his end-of-campaign cake….
Far be it for me to criticise the photograper, but what about Rachel? Anyone got her picture ?
We must be very grateful for all the hard effort in organising a new race, the first time a Championship Race has been held in the area.
The recent rain had made conditions extremely heavy and boggy, making it an arduous course.
The Ladies – again – excelled, being 1st Seniors and 1st Vets, making them Champions in both categories. Congratulations to all our travelling Ladies, Clare included!
Borrowdale were out strong, and were Senior Men and likely Vets winners.
For overall Senior Men, we are equal points with Borrowdale, so it will come down to countback, and the decision of the statistician. That’s going to be some close call. Unable to add up rightly, I’m thinking we’re a few points behind….
Vets – another close thing – we may have been dropped to 3rd by Calder Valley?
V50’s – hopefully done enough to take 1st.
Individual placings will need confirmation, but the Ladies might need a bucket at the awards night to carry away their haul.
So Gavin’s given Pudsey a good push into the mire….

Royal Dungworth –
Hope Moors and Tors. – results.
Three Peaks Cyclo-cross. I see that Morgan was taking it steady on Kielder – or did he have the bike hiding behind some tree? Now taking on this race, finishing 20th… Rob Jebb first home, 10minutes clear. Any of our regulars there? .Results.
An item for any DPFR intellectuals only. “Sheffield University, in collaboration with the Open University and the Royal Institute of Philosophy, is organising two public events for philosophers and runners, and interested public, dedicated to an exploration of the philosophy of running. Details“
“It’s just one foot in front of the other – or is it?”
…and in an exclusive from the philosophy of running blog, here is a view of our newsletter editor “featured” in the header
