Tryfan Downhill Dash –  Mike and Hazel  – just when we thought they had holidays in the Lakes – seem to have ventured over to North Wales, both winning their races…..
Cnicht – results. Seems like Mike is really on some holiday over there, 3rd in this race.

Moel Wynion – Final British Championship race. Saturday 8th September. AS – in North Wales, by that coast road above Snowdonia. Entry on Day.
Judith has “checked the archives and Dark Peak Ladies have never won the British Team Medal. This could be our year! We have a good lead but NEED four counters in Wales on 8th September .  We can share transport and Helen has promised cake. Dark Peak Girls shouldn’t worry about being “good enough”. Anyone who is a reasonably strong mid-field runner will be in with a very good chance of winning a big shiny UKAA Gold Medal to show off to their grandchildren in years to come. Would be great to make it a double win for our teams and make it a 1st for Dark Peak too…”
DT – it looks a good course,  route information    (keep going past all their Welsh language stuff…), out and back and all marshalled.
Worthy of huge praise at Weasdale was Pete Hodges’ run – not counting but vitally pushing Borrowdale runners further down. Similarly at the last two Championship races, we all can contribute to the cause.
(And maybe we could have a team photo of everyone?   If Ladies are welcome at golf’s Augusta course, we perhaps ought to have you on our team photo….)

Not forgetting – FRA Presentation Night.  Saturday 17th November. Whilst it was up in distant Kendal, we often had a small table sat down for dinner. But this year our good friends at Pennine are hosting it, only over t’hill, and surely most medal recipients could be there?
Nearer the time the FRA statistician might well provide a list of who gets team medals – anyone who has scored counting points in the 4 counting races. (no extras can now be bought in.) Details of the night are on DPFR News, just fiddle around with “News” on the website top row.

Miracle cure for aching joints:-   Carshare’s medical correspondent reports that eggs are the answer to all our problems. Not the inside bits, but the eggshell. “Essentially, it contains the same elements that are found in your joints, and which are needed to repair and rebuild cartilage and ligaments”.   And it’s not the first of April……

Arnison Crag Horseshoe. No doubt someone will be up there?
Burnsall Classic results.
Bradbourne – results
Grasmere Guides. The FRA Forum shows “ that it was Tom Edwards (Dark Peak) who was airlifted to Lancaster hospital with a possible broken leg. Latest news – no break but ligaments badly mangled.”
  Any more news?
Norland Moor – was a decent enough race, starting from Copley cricket club, rather than the familiar rugby club of Relay use. Up through the woods, and all around Leg 1 of Calderdale. A lot wet and slippy. Steve Dewick made a travelling guest appearance, and he reassured me that he didn’t have a famous pork pie in his bum-bag…. results.
Whirlow Running Everything.

Eyam Barrel Inn – results
Kilnsey Show –
a ninth win for Rob Hope….
