I had a look at Endcliffe Parkrun results. Indeed some familiar names lurking around. Looks more interesting than my Harrogate 3 laps, and all? on paths rather than muddy or yesterday’s frozen parkland….For a three mile blast these most certainly have their worth….
Long Mynd Valleys – results.
Mickleden Straddle - is cancelled. Not hard to work out why, really. The course is still there should anyone want a run round, providing they can get there….

Pennine Bridleway Relay:- No surprise at all that this has been cancelled. With Saturday night snow forecast, travel was going to be some problem. And it’s one thing running slowly over icy bits, racing is completely different. The organiser’s have gone about this well, and get our respect and thanks for all the work and difficulties involved.
Always to remember the fruitless work put in by Tony – or just keep the same team for next year, maybe?
Stolen Campervan:- Stuart Walker has “ had my campervan nicked. It’s not worth much but is of large sentimental value, so I would really like it back! It’s a small white Suzuki Carry, with black wheels and lots of stickers (including round DPFR on one the windscreen). It was nicked from Cross Lane, Crookes, on Sunday between 11am and 6pm. I’ve put a post up on the TWOC website, which has information and pictures. I’d be very grateful if you could put something on the site, just in case anyone has spotted it or heard anything! Amongst the Woolpacks. “Here is another Guardian Country Diary, from Sheffield resident Ed Douglas: t has evocative descriptions of the Woolpacks in the mist. Many other forms appear, but there’s no mention of the famed Pig Rock.”
Ilkley Moor – is a good AS race, Sunday 26th February, with right good Juniors races. Pity about the starting bottleneck, though. Pre-entry only, and opens this Wednesday, 1st February. Entry Form. Though also on that weekend is Bleasdale Circle (Bowland) , now pre-entry, New Chew, and Ian’s car should be going to High Cup Nick, hopefully with Carshare going along.
Also, Anniversary Waltz (21st April) entries come along on 17th February….presumably that will also involve Teenager with Altitude…It’s the same weekend as Kinder Downfall, another pre-entry race.
