Loughrigg /Silver Howe :- “Just 3 of us at the ‘secret’ Loughrigg-Silverhowe race today. A sneaky snowfall made conditions a bit more exciting, but times were still relatively quick compared to previous years apparently. Rhys was right with Jebby and Tom Addison at the 1st summiting of Loughrigg but dropped back a little on the descent and blew any hope of catching back up with a rubbish maverick route up onto Silver Howe. Still, I worked hard to hold off the chasing pack to keep 3rd. Mike and Ashley also ran, and Ashley uncharacteristically missed the start by a few minutes…
Will be totally different conditions for the champs race, and could be chaos with lots of scope for different lines. Gonna be a good un!”
Mountain Bike etc video - scary stuff indeed – or reckless?
Tarren Hendre – is in mid-Wales, last weekend, but never mind. This report (it is there….) has news, photos etc of a most convincing win for Lloyd, 47:34 mins. (Big thanks, Graham, for this…)
Pennine Bridleway Relay – with permission being refused for any future events, apparently due to gates being left open by runners, a sharp reminder that we should follow the race organiser’s instructions to the letter……
