I have received the following communication from Jenny Laird, if you are interested in yoga then read on:-

“We at Sheffield Yoga Centre are planning to start a new class specifically for people who are committed climbers, runners or cyclists.  We know from experience how much these activities  improve with the practice of yoga with its emphasis on correct stretching, improved posture and breathing techniques. Evidence from our colleagues in other centres providing specialist classes show how  injuries are minimised and flexibilty significantly increased from even just one session a week. We also have a new teacher who has trained athletes and sports people in New Zealand where she lived before.

The class will start mid November. We would welcome your views on the classes. Our questions are:

Which night will be best – Wednesday or Thursday?
What time of evening? We are thinking early evening, say 6.15pm- but could be later?
Will it work to combine all three groups (runners, climbers, cyclists) – given they have slightly different needs?

The Yoga Centre, on Burgoyne Rd, Walkley is fully equipped and already runs
14 classes a week with its team of experienced teachers.
But we would like to hear from potential punters what they think of this new idea!

If you are interested and want to comment please email Jenny Laird/Andy Harmer
