Black Mountains. Results. The final Championship Race of 2010. Apparently Judith had a storming run : some navigational problems at the sharp shook up the positions. Tim Davies 1st, Lloyd was 3rd. Rob Hope - 8th.
Greg – superb help – has copied down from the sticky labels, results now on DPFR results.
Lloyd 3rd and 1st V40, Judith 1st V40 and 4th lady. Think this means Tim Davies wins the Brits, Lloyd 2nd, and 1st V40.”
DT – I’ll look at Teams when the results emerge, but if anyone can help????

Scafell Pike:- results. Dave Sykes helps out:- “ There was a small field of 84 on a perfect day. There was little competition for Ricky Lightfoot, winning by 6 minutes or so in 56.38, thanks to the black mountains champs race.. Lloyd’s record of nearly 6 minutes quicker is awesome. Ellenborough were 1 st team just ahead of Ambleside. Jenny Caddick was 2nd lady (41st) in 78.45. A travelling Kenny Turner was 79th in 102.45. I was 12 th in 66.42 which meant Jen and I won the Jack and Jill trophy for 1 st couple. Unfortunately this had not been returned so I’ll be knocking on the door of a certain Mr and Mrs Robinson. Kendal. ”

FRA Presentation Evening – is Saturday 13th November. Just send to Pete Bland for a ticket, with a mention of Dark Peak. This then gets passed along to work out the seating arrangements and will block all the DPFR people on one group table. Nicky and Julie “are thinking of doing a Cumbrian Traverse on the Sunday…all invited.”
I’m hoping to get Team Medals sorted out in due course.
Welsh 1000m Race:- This has always been a very hard race, just a pity it clashes with Duddon and other class events. Should it now get even harder? – needing to go over Glyder Fawr now that it’s height has been recalculated up from 999m (3,278ft) above sea level to 1000.8m (3,283ft).
Three Peaks Cyclo Cross “Rob Jebb obviously didn’t want a repeat of last year (when Nick Craig beat him by 14 seconds); he was already pulling away by Inlgeborough summit and 5 minutes ahead at Horton, maintained the gap up and down Pen-y-gent and opened up even more by the finish” – results. video.
