If you find any results etc, anything, please send them to me for just this week.

Taddington Lanes,
Wormstones – changed to Chunal, and nobody travelled over….
Thursday:- Pilsley

Brecon Beacons:- Rhys “was 7th out of a small but selective 57, doing 3:20:50 to the winner Martin Shaw’s 2:43:12. Hot day, suncream applied liberally (yet still not liberally enough according to a patch on my left shoulder) and water was at a premium. Steady start, working way through field up to CP 1 then ran the most part with a local V40 and an eagle-eyed ERYRI V50 (he claimed he saw some cheating going on ahead – I saw nowt, and it was denied upon interrogation!), who were shifting a bit on the flat but I had them on any ascent or descent. Eventually, the long undulating (and slightly boring albeit the views) ridge towards the final CP took its toll on my legs and I dropped off the back of these two, and dragged my carcass in a few minutes behind after a most undignified hobble down the final slope. A sit down in the reservoir sorted my legs out, as did a pint and a curry in the pub. Good day out, the first part round to Pen Y Fan was the highlight with some sheer cliff edge running, and monster ravens circling overhead.”

Round Latrigg:- For Phil, “Yet another jaunt around my new Rivelin\Burbage. Slightly further than the classic Latrigg Race.  Goes up the usual Skiddaw track to the carpark, then follows a line behind Latrigg, followed by a loooong descent and a flat effort to the finish.  Ashley Kay was present – so not the only DPer for a change. Didn’t have long to spare racing as Helen is having a baby!, so a race 2 mins from the front door was permitted and I needed a to exercise my Latrigg demons after the appalling trial race 2 weeks earlier.
Ricky Lightfoot   30:49
Phil Winskill      31:27
Ashley Kay       45ths

Jura on Youtube  – a review of this classic race…

Ricky’s Race results  – from ages back, it seems.

Denis Stitt results

Summer Series (11) “We missed the rain and got a lovely evening for the Gusset Race which Mark Harvey won (by knowing the best lines!). ” The final race is the Crashout Direct, 14th September.

Sedbergh:-  results.  1st Team and also 2nd Team – some big achievement, and first everything for Nicky. An excellent turnout, which was well noticed. Very wet at times, clag around, but not too bad. Carshare met with a slippy boulder in the 2nd stream crossing, got to the Calf track and walked home, missing Winder. This Full Body Cover – often not needed, but I put the lot on coming back over The Calf, hat, gloves, food,  bottoms, essential to take it for when things go wrong. Back with those overused frozen peas….
Martin has kindly copied down the results,  most of them are on DP results. more accurate to come when the full results are found…

Burnsall:- results  Matt very high in a strong field, 7th, 16.09, with Ian Holmes winning…

Chipping Show:- “
Al Ward raced this yesterday and did a good job in the heat, managing to come in third behind :
1 Mike Whyatt        1:10:47
3 Alan Ward           1:11:56   Results

Lots of very good results from North York Moors races, which Tom Edwards , running right well, has kindly sent through…

Totley Exterminator:- Mark sends:- “Please note that there is a change to one of the Check Points from last year’s route:
Check Point 6 has been moved to 251 817 where the path across Mitchell’s Field exits on to the road.  There will be a marshal at this checkpoint. This is to ensure that runners do not cross the Private Land that is obviously out of bounds.  We don’t want to upset any more landowners than is necessary. Please also note that maps will not be provided on the day and that you are expected to carry your own maps suitable for navigation of the course.  The route straddles both the OS maps of the Peak District! “

Commonwealth Championships  is 17th – 20th September, at Keswick. There are Open Races for all-comers. Is anyone getting involved with this? I’ll prefer Three Shires on the Saturday, but could be some good viewing…
World Masters – Zagreb is 12th September. I’ll not be going, just seems too complicated a trip, just to hobble up the course. But anyone going?
