for those who know Rhian,Dark Peak lady Rhian Evans is now leading a parrot conservation project in the Caribbean. She recently came 2nd in the annual 10 mile race between the island’s two towns. The pictures show her proudly
wearing her brown vest in a somewhat different landscape!

Lothersdale . is a burst of Pennine Way, near Skipton. An immediate sharp up, along to the trig and shift back down again. As so often around here, loads of youngsters involved. results ,impressively won by a U16 lad…
Bunny Run Relay. This really is a good event, the likes of which the Peak could benefit from. Loads of youngsters running, never mind the cold and wet. A category for family teams, of which there were many. And a one minute penalty if the egg baton gets broken. For involving youth, these races are excellent.
Stuc a Chroin – British Championship (2). results ,plenty of photos on Scottish Hill Runners. A very tiring course, heavy going, and big, big hills. Great to see such Dark Peak support, the next Championship race, pre-entry, is Stretton Hills, 6th June. Classic South Shropshire running, if you’ve never been that way. Did anyone go to the Ceilidh? A welcome returnee from foreign climes was Al Sealy, now living near Aberdeen and running for Deeside. Many will remember Alan for his excellent running and commitment to DPFR, then he migrated to Scandinavia for some while.
