Just a brief note to see if anyone would like to join Jon Morgan and Greg Rimmer on an Easter jaunt to the Lakes, weather permitting.
If the weather is kind, the intention is to trot round the Ullswater horseshoe (61Km), starting Sunday mid-morning from Pooley Bridge, breaking at the Kirkstone Pass overnight (bivvy or bunkhouse(if available))and continuing around over the Helvellyn range to finish at Threlkeld on Monday afternoon.
The pace will be a stamina building trot, maybe even sub-BG, although other people may wish to move a little quicker, or just join in for one or other of the days.
Both Jon and myself are away until the evening of Saturday 11th April, but if you fancy hitching up for some or all of it gregrimmer@tiscali.co.uk me and we can make some arrangements.
