The Mighty Deerstalker. Steve Martin sends:”Perfect conditions ensured a very fast race with last year’s winner Andy Symond setting a new course record of 1hr 10mins. Tim Martin won the Bambi (16-17yr) class in 1hr 35min with his dad, running in a kilt and tweed jacket finishing 265 (1hr 56m) out of a record entry of 833, just behind a runner in a gas (gimp) mask! See photos on www.sleepmonsters, for what is becoming a very popular race.”

DT-though not there, how good it is to see another genuine AS fell race around the Hope Valley….

Lad’s Leap Results. . A thin turnout, everyone staying more local? Two AS Peak races on the same day…

Really Wild Boar Results:- “Great race today.  Lots of quality at the sharp end.  I managed to squeeze in the top 10 with 6th.  Joe Blackett was in the top 30 as well. Lots of prizes, with a spot prize of a holiday for 2 in the Alps, beat that!!!

Fiendsdale Results:- Full clag as we drove over, but the sun burnt it off, giving warm, dry, clear classic running. Dry feet – a first for Fiendsdale? Problems with permission, from one of the landowners and from United Utilities enforced a restricted 100 limit – which may well be applied to other Parlick races, eg Paddy’s Pole. Lloyd’s record went to Danny Hope. Two of us there, me and Jan.jan3 Jan awaiting the final grind up Parlick.
