Cannock Trigs Results – Many thanks to Richard Hopkinson for copying down the results. John will have them out soon. “Only a few from the Club made the trip, but well worth it. Fast trails a bit of a shock after recent Club Kinder races! Usual good organisation, and plenty of tea, soup and cakes at the village hall, plus a very full prize list prorated to entry numbers.”
Shining Cliff Results And news from Stuart Learmouth:- “The big freeze ended just in time for Dave Denton’s first race of the year at Shining Cliff Woods in the Amber Valley and a local dry spell left the course in good condition and not the mud bath most were expecting. The two-lap race is run on a mix of forest track, woodland paths and a section of flat metalled road (through a derelict factory). The uphills don’t last too long and the down hills are even shorter, plus there is always the hope of a negative split for your second lap!”
Clay Bank East:- N Y Moors. Cold, windswept and nastily icy, bits of lying snow and slippy slabs and tracks. Good if you live nearby, but nothing special. 6ml, 900ft – needed to have more hills and be a lot more genuine fell. But we accept what’s on offer, once we line up.
WASDALE- 250 limit…Martin Stocks helps, with:- “Book early to avoid disappointment…..no, it’s OK for a while yet Martin, only have a handful of entries so far, but if you send me your details & a
cheque payable to CFRA for £8.50 that will secure you a place.” Entry details in the Calendar.
