Clwydian Hills Results – “One DPFR made the long trip to Clwyds for some much needed after burning, all that OMM energy let free, got a bit carried in the thrill of running in the snow and tried my best to blow it, still lots of good snow to run through nicely loading the path up the gully we used in the British champs short race last year.”
DT – Only one, but it is a long trek over there. But that one where it matters, 1st for John Hunt!
Great Whernside Results:- A smaller field than last year’s Championship event – cold enough with icy bits at the top for the organiser to insist on Body Cover. From the top trig Ian Holmes went direct down the rough to that rocky band, whereas last year we all stayed on the path. Us later runners just played safe through the wet, slippy stuff, then the tremendous flying drop from that hostel.
The Dark Peak Travellers managed a team – Matt an impressive 6th, me – 24th, David McGuinness, good to meet you along, – 40th.Then down to the pub, sticky labels for quick results, and back down Wharfedale.
