Vets IH Team:- Mike has done a good job here. Were we Fastest Leg on 2 and 3, last year, so best to keep those pairings. Gavin has the knowledge for 1, and not a weak Leg 4 pairing. Anyone is most welcome to join me up there for a classic Lakeland Trot during the day – unless there’s a team short of runner(s)…..
Yorkshireman Marathons – Pairs Kenny Turner Dark Peak 4.28.06 . A regular for this event is Kenny, and several of his Killamarsh locals….
Summer Series – Final Results Many thanks to Nicky for holding this together throughout the year, to all the race organisers, and to Tim Hawley, first overall. Now it’s Bolsterstone for the Winter Mondays, starting next Monday. Hopefully the Summer Series can be put on next year?
Dark and White (1). Results looks like Bob Johnston and Alan found it all a lot too obvious?
Hodder Valley Results only Joe there, but in 2nd place.
Kinder Barrel Race:- Most welcome news from Oli and Jenny:- “A few old hands: Pete, Rob L and Nails, plus a few new signings: Craney, Bryn, Rich and Tom E in the team this year. Same tactic as last time: duct tape the barrel to an aluminium ladder and run as
hard as possible. The route was much wetter and boggier this time round so we missed the record by a couple of minutes. Pretty good effort though, Neil crocked his back early on, Rich got stuck in a bog up to his waist, Little Rob was a powerhouse, and Craney hung on for dear life. The descent was hairy and Rich took a high-velocity ladder to the knee. At least we all made it to the finish line this year. Nice one for sorting it out captain Pete.”
The victorious team:L-R.Matt Crane, Neil Northrop, Oli Johnson, Rich Guillaume, Pete Hodges (Captain), Rob Little, Tom Edwards, Bryn Davies: and approaching the finish
Switzerland World Cup Results – looks like a very strong field, with Lloyd 55th, taking just over an hour. Team Results.
Whirlow Hall Fayre:- A worthy cause in every way, and an event which deserves a big field. If someone can remind us next year it can be given a bigger publicity push.
1 Steve Bell – 37.34
5 Ron Fawcett – 41.07
13 Jane Crowson – 46.34
These are the results forwarded, but if you’ve been missed off, just send along…
BOFRA Burnsall Results. Very similar to the FRA race, slightly different start. Up, round the cairn, and hope to get down the muddy, rocky, heathery drop in one piece. Similarly won by Ian Holmes. Very good to see Tim Edward – Clayton – running again, after that horrendous break during this year’s Coniston race.
Tanky’s Trog:- Keep a look on the Forum, seems like It will still go ahead after all….
