Riber Results:- Jon Morgan keeps the news coming:- “Riber was a fun and intricate race, weaving its way through lanes, bracken, gorse, nettles and fields. It was an uphill finish. Lots of stiles. Recce with a machete might have been useful though. Super chilled organization (£3 and names only to enter- no form filling), chocolate medals for the winners and hog roast down the road afterwards for Matt and Mick at least.”

Otley Town Centre Cycle Race:-  a lot wet, somewhere on the circuit a “mega-crash”, some right shifting around the streets…….

Calton:- Richard Hopkinson “did a very good new evening race last night at Calton, a little village to the west of Ashbourne. Very well organised and a good 6 mile course all off road except the 1st half mile. £3 entry, lots of prizes and tea and cakes in the village hall afterwards! Prizes were awarded by a certain Dave Neill, and second prize went to a junior by the name of William Neill. He’s obviously passed his genes on. 42 ran.

Lost and Found:-  (Even More Lost and Found is within Comments): –  Ian Winterburn “
found on the campsite this morning after every one had gone the following kit. I’ve cleaned and dried it out and will take it to clubhouse but if you recognise it let me know.
  Kimm Rucksack (with contents?)
  North face waterproof
  Montane OT
  Various hats x 4
  Base Layers/micro fleece x 3
  Glove!
  Flask top
  bum bag.
In exchange for this I would like to find my:- OMM kamilika smock : Navy o/t : Red ‘Buff’ Buff : Red Lowe Alpine smock : green fleece hat.  These were kindly taken off me by supporters but they have not yet reappeared.
Finally thanks to Tim R, Dave M, Dave H and John A for there support and help getting off the Hill and back to Honister and not to mention Richard for all his hard work organising the week end.”
BG Most BG pictures will be in DP photos, Steve Matthews is” in the process of collecting BG photos from my support and hopefully will be able to send through in the next day or so. However I though you both might like this one which gives a true flavour of the hectic pace of activity at the Wasdale CP.”

Great Lakes Run Results:- some news about this would be most welcome…

Wasdale:- how times change….Martin Stocks sends that only 90 places are left out of 250 – so get your entry in soon!

Clougha Pike:- Bowland Fells. Evil conditions, felt so sorry for everyone involved with the BG on higher fells. Another classic AS course, a bit of everything. The usual village fair and sports all spoilt by the weather. Not at all sure that vest, shorts and no kit is all that safe, even for an AS race when it’s bad up high…..

Chrome Hill Results:- Once again Ron has kindly sent the DPFR results through…
Buckden Pike Results:-   won by Gary Devine, with Joe 9th – more horrible conditions…
Settle Hills:-

Any results, news etc most welcome – lest they disappear into oblivion (can’t find Grindleford or James Thorn from last week, so if anyone receives a copy….)   – Though Grindleford winners, etc, are within last week’s Comments.

Three Peaks Sailing RaceJon Morgan “has been contacted by a friend who is desperately looking for a runner for the 3 Peaks race, starting on Sat 28th June. Should be done by Wed 2nd.They have a decent boat/sailors, and one other runner, who has run marathons sub-3hr, but need a second runner. Would anyone like to help them make a team up? As well as strong legs suitable candidates might need strong stomachs if the weather is iffy, and a good sense of humour! If you interested give me a call 07809 762667. As well as running up the hills themselves you also have to run from the coast to get to each hills- not a problem for the Ben, but more so for Snowdon and Scafell Pike. Sounds like a great opportunity, but unfortunately I am not free “
