Our World Champion:- There’s a Sheffield Star report about the Three Peaks Race, and Mikes’s 1st V50 place – fame and fortune, but deserved recognition.
Lothersdale Full Results:- A short, sharp race near Skipton, a burst of Pennine Way without the groughs. Hardest thing was to come away without a prize – nothing expensive, but a table creaking under the weight of bottles and chocolate. Now how many races follow this example, with completely minimal profits?
Y Garn Results:- “The race was won by Dave Taylor of Dark Peak (also 1st over 40) in a time of 28 minutes and 17 seconds” – a most successful North Wales Raid….
Coniston Results:- Lakes running at its very best. Warm, dry, clear – no deviations like last year. Enough time to look across and around. Coiners Results:- Jim taking 1st V40, followed immediately by Steve Storey, raiding another 1st V50 prize.
Stuc a Chroin Results Tim Hawley and Richard Hakes out on this superb Scottish course.
Great Hameldon Results:- It’s not easy at V70, with Barry running so well, but only 4th V70…..
Great lakeland 3Day MM Results –

They’d done a good effort with the course, private fields and boggy moorland fell, all runnable. Thousands coming for the scarecrows, fair, stalls and usual attractions. Photos of Scarecrow Winners. Imagination and sublety put into the hundreds of scarecrows, on every theme imaginable – i.e Hilary moving his arm to salute Tenzing climbing up Everest…
