Northern Cross Countryy Results:- Thanks to Nigel for noticing that “Phil was first home for Hallamshire at the Northern X/C/ Championships in Leeds at the weekend. He was 42nd, Oli Johnson 62nd, Mike Sprot 111th. Hallamshire came 4th team.” (I was half thinking of slipping down to Roundhay Park to watch…)
Stanbury Splash Results:- As cold as ever in that quarry, the most perishing start to any race? Once going it soon warmed up enough. This is probably the best of these courses, 3 climbs, 3 stream crossings and decent runnable fell paths. If value for money is a consideration then this is the place to be. At registration everyone got a bucketful of Soreen Malt Loaves, and the prize giving traditionally has more prizes than available people. Good to be joined by Trevor Milner, photo, just visiting. Ian Holmes far, far ahead for his umpteenth consecutive win.
