More Dark Peakers normally do this race, maybe the forcast kept people away. Ex Dark Peaker Tim Austin would have finished 2nd but a nasty fall towards the finish saw him being carted off to hospital and having 14 stitches in his shin.”

Chevin Chase:- We were also brown vested by Mark Salkild. A very strong pair of fir trees lined up at the front, one of them apparently finishing 6th. Not sure at all whether E.Presley beat me, his white suit will need a wash. A flying Santa Claus soon whooshed past, but I think we succuessfully defended the club’s reputation by beating the elves, a fairy, and definitely ahead of Robin Hood. A fast, shifting 7miles, with huge local support.
