We will reprise the recently defunct Thornbridge camping Weekend and hold it in Bamford.
(Bamford is famous for ten thousand hours of sunshine each August.) This is a family camping weekend for everyone.
Make a note of the date – Friday August 19th to Sunday August 21st
Tents and campervans and as many children as you have or can make by then. Dogs welcome.
There will be a fell race on the Saturday morning and a barbeque on Saturday evening. Expect a highland games type event on Saturday afternoon or Sunday. Lots of scope for training runs and cycle rides. We might get someone to put on a quiz for the Friday night.
We will have access to the toilets and showers at the pavillion but not quite on the scale of the Thornbridge Field centre,
The Camping weekend has always been one of the highlights of the club year and is great for getting the spouses and children involved.
We will do a bit more by way of planning when I get back from Scotland at the beginning of July.
