There has been plenty of action on the trig-bagging front
over recent days with two teams making particularly noteworthy progress. The
Fawcett / Mills pairing made particularly good use of the Christmas Day bonus
points ticking off Margery Hill, Outer Edge and Alport. The Elmore / Ashton /
Borrell team were richly rewarded for a foray into the remote hills of the
North Pennines logging three high-scoring trigs in the form of Cross Fell, Hard
Hill and the trig near the tarns above Dufton – this trio of trigs netted them
more than 10000 points and the outing was deemed to be a fine expedition into
remote territory with a little snow and even a plane wreck to add to the Dark
Peak ambience. However, with at least one contender planning a week in Scotland
there could be further big changes…

Current highest Trig: Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) 1085m.
Current remotest Trig: the aptly named Hard Hill (North Pennines, near Cross
Fell) 5.47km from the road that links Alston and Teesdale.
Current most distant Trig from Sheffield: The Saddle, Glen Shiel.
I expect some of these to fall in the next few days though…
