Following on from a discussion at the last committee meeting, that was itself an attempt to catch up with reality on the ground, Wednesday nights at Tha Sportsman have had a bit of a reboot. Primarily courtesy of Tom and Josh, with their enthusiasm for some change. For the rest of the winter, as a general rule, runs will alternate between a road run, or an off road run. The off road routes usually follow bye-ways, paths and occasionally trods. The routes are published in the calendar and the fast / medium / slow groups are being more carefully managed than might be the case for a known road route.
Hopefully this will present better opportunities for those who want to get out for a run, be it fast, steady or even-steadier and have maybe drifted away from Tha Sportsman over the last few years; or even never been before.
