The new route for Burbage Skyline is now available on the Burbage Skyline race page. This has been agreed with the Eastern Moors partnership, which manages the Burbage valley, but has yet to receive final consent from Natural England, although it is anticipated that this will be granted in time for the race, scheduled for 7:30 on Tuesday May 8th.
The new route has been devised after extensive reccying and redrafting, in order to agree a route which is expected to have minimal erosion and disturbance to nesting birds, whilst also providing a challenging circuit. In the event that Ring Ouzels are found to be nesting near the route around Higger Tor or the quarry area under Burbage edge south, then some minor amendments have been agreed.
