UK Members Council Elections 2015

Representative for Clubs

The UK Members Council plays a vital role in scrutinising the activities of UKA and its board members, acting on behalf of affiliated clubs and organisations. Members of the Council are elected or nominated – dependent on the sector of the sport they represent. Elected members serve a four year term of office and are eligible to serve a maximum of two terms of four years of office.

Nominations are invited for one representative member for Clubs and the closing date for receipt of nominations is Monday 7th September at 12:00. A nomination form and details of the role are enclosed and are also available at http://www.britishathletics.org.uk/governance/uk-members-council/ where further information on the structure and role of the Council can be found. Keith May is retiring this year and I would like to thank Keith for his valuable contributions to athletics throughout his term of office.

If you choose to nominate a representative, please return the nomination form duly completed and signed by email to elections@uka.org.uk. Please address any queries to eitherelections@uka.org.uk or call Sarah Coffey on 0121 713 8460.

If more than one nomination is received then a ballot will be held and the names of the successful candidate will be announced at the Annual General Meeting of the UK Members Council on Friday 4th December 2015.
