Jura was definitely the best place to be over the bank holiday – blue skies with cotton wool clouds. Great effort by Lloyd, Matt and Mike to retain the team trophy ahead of Bingley and Carnethy. Everyone had a great time on the hill – on how many races do you see golden eagles and grey seals? Most Dark Peakers made it to the ceilidh, although some pre-dance willow stripping instruction would have been useful for some club members. We didn\’t win any prizes in the raffle, which is a shame – it would be interesting to see someone trying to strap a pair of antlers or a haunch of venison to their push bike! Superb organisation by Phil and Mandy.
