A reminder that the final race in this year’s ‘Summer Sharpener’ series takes place this coming Wednesday. Usual format, i.e. turn up in good time to register and pick up your map for a start at 6:45 prompt from Burbage North Bridge. As ever, you’ll need a compass, a pen, and sharp navigation skills to negotiate a route that will be revealed to you five minutes before you set off. I’m advised that construction work is underway to provide access for the tree felling around the packhorse bridge and the lower end of the green drive, so the course will steer clear of that area. Prize-giving afterwards in Tha Sportsmen with the usual bottles of Mountain Rescue Ale going to the winners of both this final race and the entire series. Look forward to seeing you all on the night.
