“Tonight, after inspecting the Recreation Ground, the Carnival Committe decided to cancel the Carnival, the inaugural Charlesworth Dog Show and the Carnival Parade due to be held this Saturday. The Rec is completely waterlogged. Ayshea Garbutt, who is Race Organiser this year in Dominic’s absence, took counsel from the Committee and myself and reluctantly decided to cancel the Fell Race.”
