From our neighbours at Totley:

The short Totley fell race on April 14th is part of our new hut opening ceremony. We think that some people may decide not to do it because it has been advertised as a novice event. The race is meant to be for all runners, novice, intermediate and experienced. We would like to encourage new runners, which is why we will have an extra prize category of novice.

The race will be a low key 3.3 mile fell race, with 500′ climb to encourage first time fell runners, but welcomes all runners of all abilities. The course will be well marshalled, and there are good prizes (including novice prizes). It starts at the new Totley club house and costs £3.00 which includes a raffle ticket. Open to anyone aged 16 and over. Start time is 3pm.

The celebrity ribbon cutting at 1.30pm will be by Joss Naylor.

There will also be a kids fell race at 2.30pm on the day.
