11 Dark Peak Fell Runners flying the flag at Hathersage Gala.

The publication of the Carshare blog may be a bit erratic over the next month or so while your correspondent drags is weary bones up and down some Swiss alps. Feel free to send race results through to me here and they’ll get published as and when access to wi-fi allows.

Past Races
Thurlestone Chase –
Sunday 6th July – Great Hucklow –
Monday 7th July – Hathersage Gala –
Black Rocks – Three brown vests of a certain vintage in the field. Results
Thursday 10th July – Big Stone –
Tebay women – The 4th counter in the English Championships. Emily Cowper-Coles was 3rd with Lisa Watson 15th. Liz Batt was 3rd F60 and leads the championship table. Results
Tebay men – The 4th counter in the English Championships was won by Finlay Grant who was a couple of minutes clear of Ilkley’s Ben Rothery. Fin and Ben have each won two of the four championship races this year and been second in the other two and so are joint leaders in the championship table. Dave Taylor won his M60 category and, having also won the three previous counters is M60 champion. Nice one!
Wasdale – 100 started the race and there were 40 finishes. It was, I suspect, fairly sunny. None of this stopped John Hunt who was 9th overall and 1st M55 or Laurence Piercy who was 13th. Results

Upcoming races
Sunday 13th July – Peak Forest
Monday 14th July – Trunce 6
Wednesday 16th July – Bamford Carnival – R.O. Rob Greenwood has been asking for additional marshals and if you’re not marshalling you’d definitely want to be running.
Thursday 17th July – Blackamoor Chase & Sheldon.
Saturday 19th July – Eskdale Mixed Fell Relay. Kudos to Helen Elmore for organising the Dark Peak team.
Sunday 19th July – Kentmere. Lakeland based runners are blessed for having many high quality AM’s on their doorsteps and this is one of them.
