Pendle Cloughs – The 3rd of the 6 English Championship races. Fin Grant was 2nd (and 1st MU23) and now heads the championship table but has Ben Rothery lurking down in 6th place having only run in 2 of the 3 races to date. Other outstanding performances include Anna Watkinson-Powell’s 6th place in the women’s race, Liz Batt 1st W55, Jane Crowson 1st W60, John Hunt 2nd M55, Joe Blackett 3rd M60 and Keith Holmes 3rd M70. Liz Batt and Jane Crowson head the championship tables in their respective age categories. In the English Championship the team standings are:

Men’s open 2nd, 2 points behind Keswick.

M40 5th, 2 points behind Todmorden in 3rd.

M50 2nd, well behind runaway leaders Calder Valley.

M60 1st and beginning to look uncatchable!

Women’s open 3rd, 1 point behind 2nd placed Keswick.

W40 2nd, a point ahead or 3rd placed Todmorden.

W50 2nd despite not having sufficient counters at Lad’s Leap.
