Cakes of Bread

Tom Westgate writes…

Given the general weather this Winter and Spring we were blessed for the Cakes Of Bread race this year with glorious sunshine and a nice chill in the air. Folk started at four different times but everybody seemed to finish in good order and before the early sunset.  I am currently happy with the current course as there seems to be plenty of route choice on all the legs.  Some folk again struggled with check point one,  the so called “stream junction”.  There is a handy line of grouse butts,  projecting down from Lost Lad directly to the check point and so next year we will be heading for one albeit in exactly the same place. Hats off to Tom and Despina who won their categories by a street.  Tom seemed to be able to combine direct lines with fast running which sounds like a good combination.  Thanks all.
