Lad’s Leap, the second of the English championship races, was run in dry blustery conditions last Saturday with a degree of cut in the ground. Highlights include, in the women’s race: Anna Watkinson-Powell 12^th, Liz Batt 1^st W55 and Jane Crowson 1^st W60. In the men’s race: Fin Grant 4^th and 1^st MU23, Bertie Houghton 5^th, Cynog Williams 12^th and 3^rd MU23, Euan Patten 7^th MU23, Tom Brunt 4^th M50, John Hunt 3^rd M55, Jon Batt and Joe Blackett 6^th and 7^th M60’s respectively, Keith Holmes and Tim Mackey 5^th and 8^th M70’s respectively and last, but by no means least, Ken Jones 1^st M75.

In the team competitions: Women’s open 5^th, W40’s 3^rd, Men’s open 1^st, M40’s 4^th, M50’s 2^nd and M60’s 1^st.
