Congratulations to Des Berdeni, Lisa Watson, Holly Clifford and Pennine’s Ellie Johnson who not only survived Bruce’s Crown Round but won it outright as well.

Helen Elmore writes “News from Galloway. Bruces Crown Round is a very tough outing. not made any easier by the stormy weather. The first team was Lisa Watson , Despina Berdeni , Holly Clifford and Ellie Johnson, with Nicky Spinks team coming in second. 4 out of the 8 teams finished. Very well organised and the Galloway MRT made sure everyone was well fed, looked after and safe on some wild and remote hills. My own race report, we kept going until it wasn’t fun, we all got off the hill safely and copious soup , stew, tea and a lovely sleep in a mini Cooper (hurrah for heated seats) with one of my best mates made it all alright! Who is up for a proper challenge again next year?”
