Past races
The third Peak Raid of the four race series was staged at the Roaches last weekend. Jennie Stevens was 1st woman with 390 points, is the leading F40 in the series and has the opportunity to overhaul the leading woman at Grindleford next month. No pressure! In the men’s series, Glen Borrell will also be in the mix if he runs at Grindleford. Andy Bell has the M60’s all but won. Results
Upcoming races
Sunday 12th November – Roaches and Leg it Round Lathkil.
Saturday 18th November – Tour of Pendle, the year’s last AL and a highly recommended outing. There are six brown vests on the entry list and entries are still being taken here. https://tourofpendle.co.uk/race-entry
Saturday 25th November – Club champs and dinner.
Saturday 25th November – Baslow Bolt. (I’ll wager that the Club champs race will be both better and cheaper!)
Sunday 3rd December – 4th and final Peak Raid of the year. Pre-entry via SiEntries.
Sunday 3rd December – Gravy Pud, Tintwhistle.
Saturday 16th December – Winter Crookstone Crashout. Classic DPFR fare and not to be missed under any circumstances. Carsharing essential as parking is limited. The full route will be revealed at a later date but you can be certain that it will finish with the traditional quad busting descent from Crookstone Knoll back down to Rowley Bridge.
Tuesday 26th December – Totley Two Turtle Doves, from behind The Cricket Inn. A bit traily but looks OK if you like that kind of thing. Details here. But, better by far…
10:00 Tuesday 26th December – Boxing Day Bogtrot, under new and I hope temporary management. 75 minute score event from Burbage Bridge. Details to follow.
Sunday 31st December – Bowstones, but it’s full.
Sunday 31st December – Wormstones, from Glossop towards Mill Hill. EoD, but pre-entry is cheaper.
Sunday 14th January – Trigger. The race is full but reserves may be taken via SiEntries..
