To weekend of 3rd / 4th June

Old County Tops – Lisa Watson and Despina Berdini ran under 8 hours and smashed Nicky Spinks and Jean Brown’s 2017 womens record by almost 26 minutes to finish 3^rd overall. In the words of the late great Murray Walker, there is only one word to describe this feat: Simply brilliant! Results.

Kudos to Andy Barnett and Dicky Wilkinson who both ran two fell races last Sunday with Andy winning the M60’s at both!

Summer Series – Brogg in Boots. Kris Groom a handful of seconds ahead of Steve Yeoman. Results.

Mount Famine – Results.

Lantern Pike Dash – Dicky Wilkinson completed the three Hayfield races in three days. Results.

Youlgrave Pommie Panter. A new Peak District race and a very pleasant outing it was too. Some bits and pieces on tarmac but mostly through woodland and across fields. Ten Brown Vests ran, most of whom of a certain age and more. Bragging rights to Heather Tait who was 3^rd woman and 11^th overall. Andy Barnett won the M60’s and then drove over to Shutlingsloe and won the M60 prize there as well! (A bit greedy in my opinion!) Results.

Shutlingsloe – Liz Batt 3^rd woman, Andy Barnett 1^st M60, having won at Youlgrave in the morning, ahead of Dicky Wilkinson who was also racing for the second time on the day. Results.

Trunce 4 – Mark Jones 1^st, Jo Wade 5^th with MV50 Austin Frost showing that he retains his turn of foot in 10^th. Results.

Totley Moor – Bertie Houghton 1^st, Cynog Williams 3^rd and Sam Birchin-Machin 5^th. Mike Nolan 2^nd M50 and Chris Shaw 3^rd M60. Results.

Saturday 3^rd June – Duddon Valley, the third English Championship counter and 1^st Lakeland Classic. Also the not to be underestimated Short Duddon.

Wednesday 7^th June – Boz’s Birthday run. Glen ‘Boz’ Borrell’s new DPFR race and definitely not to be missed.

Saturday 10^th June – Ennerdale Horseshoe. A Lakeland Classic and one of the great fell races. Pre-entry only here.

Saturday 15^th July – Buttermere Sailbeck, which “… is a classic tough, rough fell race! It packs in over 4,000ft of climbing into just over 9 miles so is not for the faint hearted!” Entry via SiEntries. Highly recommended!
