The race, from Slippery Stones to King’s Tree, was run in rather benign conditions for late November, the promised gales having failed to materialise.
Tim Tett’s excellent course provided route choice right from the start until the final control, and the winning time was almost spot on his predicted 90 minutes.
The overall race ended in a sprint finish with the timekeepers unable to split Al Ward and John Hunt. The ladies race was won by Liz Batt ahead of Kirsty Bryan-Jones. The handicap was won by John Batt, just 12 seconds ahead of newcomer Steve Martin.
